NGORONGORO / AND LAKE MANYARA - 7DAYS
Tarangire,
Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara are spectacular and understandably best
destinations among the National Parks. But this trip includes cultural
visit where you can find out about the way of life of the Maasai
who live on the Ngorongoro highland. Many tourists pass through
these areas leaving only a cloud of dust, but with the unique Africa

Day 1
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you will be met by a driver
guide and transferred to a Hotel near by Arusha town for overnight.
DAY 2:
Arusha – Ngorongoro Distance: 190 km (4hr)
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. On
the way you will see the small villages of Mto Wa Mbu, Great Rift
Valley and Karatu with unique views of the high altitude rain forest
surrounding the crater rim. Descend down the crater with picnic
lunch for a half-day game drive. In the evening enjoy dinner and
overnight at the Hotel on the crater rim.
DAY 3:
Ngorongoro
Enjoy breakfast and depart for a half day of game viewing on the
crater floor of one of Africa's true wonders of nature, home of
rhino, elephant and lion coexisting with a large variety of antelopes.
We will have lunch on the Crater floor. After lunch continue game
viewing and in the early evening drive back to the Hotel on the
crater rim for leisure, dinner and overnight.
DAY 4:
Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara Distance: 60 km (2hr)
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, then afternoon game drives
around Lake Manyara. This park is famed for the bird life around
the soda lake – flamingos in particular, and is home to unusual
tree climbing lions and also known as home of primates. It also
has a large elephant population. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the
Hotel or Tented Lodge on the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.
DAY 5:
Lake Manyara to Tarangire. Distance: 95 km (1:30 min)
In the morning drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy lunch and
then a late afternoon game drive in the park. You will find early
morning and late afternoon are the best times to observe birds and
animals. During the heat of the day much of the wildlife rest under
cover. You should look under trees and bushes for the pricking ears
of animals raising their heads. Also watch in the trees for the
dangling tail of a leopard as it lies on a branch. One of the most
striking features of this park is the majestic, old baobab trees.
With their massive silvery trunks, spindly branches and gourd-like
fruits, they are Strange and impressive trees. Tarangire is also
the home of a large number of elephants and bird-life. Enjoy dinner
and overnight at the Hotel or Tented Lodge.
DAY 6:
Tarangire Day Two:
Full day game drive in Tarangire where it is possible to see the
rare fringe-eared Oryx. Enjoy lunch either on the safari or back
at camp. Later we will have dinner and overnight at the Hotel or
Tented Lodge.
DAY 7:
Tarangire - Arusha. Distance 120 km (3 hour)
After breakfast, drive out with game viewing on our return to Arusha.
Arrive for lunch where a day room and dinner is prepared for you
before your flight back home. (Transport to the airport is provided).
