Leonard had a childhood dream of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro when his father worked as park ranger in Mount Kilimanjaro National Park.  He fulfilled his dream in 2001 by summiting Kilimanjaro, and since then has guided more than 100 times to the summit. He has led various groups of different nationalities. Leonard is a gifted and expert coach during his guiding, encouraging all to be able to make it to the summit.  His friendliness and willingness to share his knowledge of culture and wildlife are endearing to all who make the trek.  In his spare time, Leonard enjoys movies, reading books and newspapers, sports such as soccer (football), bike rides, and socializing with friends.
